Our programs are tailored specifically to our audience with ongoing development and promotion of dynamic programs.

Carolyn Sheridan, RN, BSN

Founder of Ag Health & Safety Alliance

I grew up on a dairy farm in Northwest Iowa and continue to farm with my husband in the same area. As a registered nurse I received specialized Agricultural Health and Safety training that helped me understand the hazards associated with farming, ranching and all types of agriculture.

The Ag Health & Safety Alliance provides health and safety programs tailored specifically to our audience. Our organization embraces the idea of agriculture as a global community with a wealth of resources and organizations to assist with the ongoing development and promotion of dynamic programs. The Ag Health & Safety Alliance team includes partnerships with individuals and organizations who are interested in this type of education and interaction to promote health and safety at the local, regional, national, and international levels.

I grew up on a dairy farm in Northwest Iowa and continue to farm with my husband in the same area. As a registered nurse I received specialized Agricultural Health and Safety training that helped me understand the hazards associated with farming, ranching and all types of agriculture.

For much of my career I have worked in the Ag health and safety profession to protect farmers and their families. Protecting the next generation of agriculture has always been a passion of mine which motivated me to develop fun and interactive programs for the next generations of agriculture.

Carolyn’s understanding of Ag health is very valuable to the farming community. Her knowledge and passion makes Carolyn a great advocate. I rely on her for advice to protect my family and employees, for our respiratory health, and any other ag health issues that may arise.

As a health care provider in a rural community, I’ve found it very valuable to have the support of someone like Carolyn Sheridan. She understands the complexities of agricultural health, and has proven herself to be a reliable source of information concerning ag safety hazards and their prevention.

She brings a unique style of education and practical knowledge to her college ag presentations. I have family members who have benefitted from Carolyn’s expertise and have learned a great deal from her college ag presentations.

The Ag Health & Safety Alliance College Ag class is a fun and exciting way to engage students in agricultural health and safety. Memorable experiences occur in the class and that will help keep health and safety in the students’ thoughts as they are working on the farm.
